(with information about St. Matthews Church)
This church has been a very important part of Abury's history ........
It burnt down in the dead of the night when somebody left on the heater.  The church had first been established in February, 1850.  Many Albury folk witnessed the sad event.

    BUT NEVER FEAR!.......

The church was restored and now is in one piece.  This Church is one of the oldest of it's kind in Albury, and celebrated it's 150th birthday in the Year 2000.
