Albury's Clementine
In the 2000 Olympics
Clementine Stoney drew  2nd in the 100m
Clementine Stoney achieved her goal to be in the Olympics.  She set this goal when she was 12 years old at the Albury Swim Centre.

Here's a bit about Stoney's past:
Stoney has been nominated for Albury's Citizen of the Year award.  She also made a record in Western Australia with the time of 2.11.06 in the 16yrs, 200m backstroke.  Stoney's father is actually an 'old time' professional sprinter, but doesn't like to talk about it much!  Clementine overcame the pain of a sprained ankle to win two silver medals at the biggest meet of her career in the World Cup Short Course in Brazil.
Clementine's family still lives in Albury. Stoney was one of the two talented swimmers who have earned the December Nominations for the NSW Institute of Sport/Registered Clubs.

* Even as a child Clementine was carving up people in most of her Carnival events.  This happened at any swimming pool.
